Electrolyte - Detox
Drink
Gluten-free, Vegan
This is my basic recipe but there are alterations that can be made for different benefits.
Staying hydrated is so important for so many reasons and yet we are often dehydrated without even realizing it.
Electrolytes play a big role in hydration, so adding some lemon and a pinch of salt to your water bottle
can make all the difference!
This quick and easy recipe will give you some variety in your beverage options.
(And it's super yummy!)
You can make this in the evening so that it can infuse overnight, waking up to an amazing beverage!
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Wait Time: 8 hours

BENEFITS
Lemons contain potassium, sodium, magnesium, and calcium which are all important electrolytes that help your body absorb fluids better.
This also provides antioxidants!
Bonus Tip: you can peel and slice up some ginger to add in a bit of a spicier flavor and digestive benefits!
Whenever possible try to choose organic ingredients, and always wash well. The slight fermentation will help eat away at some of the pesticides if you cannot purchase organic items, but there will still be residues.
